Target Audience
Physicians,
pharmacists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners,
office nurses, emergency department nurses, clinic nurses,
school nurses, respiratory therapists, and other allied
health professionals responsible for asthma management in the outpatient setting in the community at
large within West Michigan.

Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants
should be able to:

- Discuss
the new National Guidelines for the Diagnosis and
Management of Asthma: EPR-3 and the evidence base for
their development.
- Recognize
the scope and significance of ethnic disparities with
respect to asthma prevalence, morbidity and mortality.
- Describe
a unique community-based tool set for addressing asthma
disparities.
