Asthma Camp

Asthma Network Of West Michigan members make it happen for children with asthma, ages 8 – 13, from West Michigan.  Children with asthma are mainstreamed into regular camp activities while receiving daily reinforcement of proper management techniques.  On-site medical professionals oversee the health and well being of all to assure a safe and fun week of swimming, canoeing, hiking and outdoor activity.  Parents and children receive adequate doses of asthma education before, during and after camp to effect lasting change in management of this chronic illness.
